However, your phone encourages your brain to wake up by showing it colors, light, and stimulating topics. Switch off your phone for an hour before bed to let your mind wind down.
  • Try a ten minute meditation before bed. Most people assume that meditation wouldn’t work for them – it’s a very niche practice, so to speak. But more and more people are realizing that meditation is a powerful tool to combat insomnia. Put away your prejudice and see what it does for you!
  • Talk things out. If you and your partner are experiencing issues at the moment, either in your relationship, at work, or with the kids, this is likely keeping you up. Talk it out, and you might go to bed with a more restful mind.
