True friendships are like the most beautiful sunset that illuminates the sky. When I see you, my best friend, walking towards me or see your number on my phone it illuminates my heart. We may not speak every single day, but we are always connected. In 28 years, you have supported me in so many ways. We have raised our children together, spent time at a lot of school functions and family gatherings, my health was not always great, and you were always there with me. We respect each other and understand each other in an amazing way. I am the talker, and you are the observer but when we need to switch roles, we have each other’s back. The beauty of the relationship to me is that there is nothing that would stop us from being there for each other. You inspire me to keep moving forward on my dreams and be the best version of myself when my self-esteem falls a little. You make me laugh when I feel like crying, and that alone is priceless. When life is unbearable it is a blessing to share it with my friend.
