You’re a force for your people, making sure they feel valued and supported through thick and thin. You’re a guide through new territory when people feel lost or uncertain. You’re a hug for the discouraged. You’re entertainment in the mundane. You’re consistent in the midst of chaos. You’re authentic in a room full of masks. I could keep going, but I think you get the point.
They say not all heroes wear capes, and I know you would never draw that much attention to yourself, but you’re one of my heroes. You’ve taught me what humble leadership looks like, and you embody all the best qualities of a leader. You’ve shown me what it looks like to be a good mentor regardless of a title, and a good friend regardless of age or life stage. Thank you for being entirely you. Every day. No matter what.
