An estimated 50% of women will suffer from significant hair loss, according to the Cleveland Clinic. In fact, more than 30% of women will experience hair loss before they’ve reached 40. A number of factors can contribute to hair loss, including diet, genetics, age, stress, illness, and hormonal changes. If you’re currently experiencing hair loss, it’s important to know that you’re not alone!

Here are a few ways you can support a woman who is breastfeeding:

  • Make healthy food and drinks available.
  • Burp the baby after a nursing session.
  • Take over baby duties, and give her time to herself.
  • Offer encouragement and supportive words.
  • Help out with household chores such as laundry, cooking, and cleaning.

Did you know that your cholesterol levels are a strong indicator of your heart health? Normal cholesterol levels are less than 200 mg/dL.
If your total cholesterol is 200 mg/dL or higher, you can work to lower it by:

  • Participating in daily exercise.
  • Avoiding smoking and secondhand smoke.
  • Maintaining a healthy weight.
  • Making healthy changes to your diet.
  • Learning methods for managing stress.
  • Taking medication as prescribed by your physician.

Sleep for Adults
