sAge Aesthetics & Wellbeing
With a compassion for her clients and a love for making positive changes in the lives of others, every day is new and exciting for McKenzie Cruz. “My patients leave the clinic brighter, happier, and more confident than when they entered our doors,” Cruz says. “It is very rewarding for me to be in their corner to help them to be the best versions of themselves.” Cruz takes extra care to listen to her clients and understand their concerns and goals in detail. “I take my time in the initial consultation to thoroughly understand each patient’s medical history, aesthetic goals, and overall wellness practices,” she explains. “I usually have different approaches and options to help each individual in their unique cases, and we as a team can choose the right approach confidently.”

1. What influenced you to pursue your career?
When I was a teenager, my journey with cystic hormonal acne began. By the time I was graduating high school, I felt like I had been on every medication, and the amount of personal research I had done, along with trial and error spiked my general passion for dermatology.
2. What’s the key to making a great first impression?
It’s being kind, confident, and joyful. A genuine smile and positive energy go such a long way in making someone’s day. We always want our patients to feel like family when they come to sAge, so we want our patients to feel comfortable upon arrival.
3. What would you consider to be your main strengths?
I believe my main strengths are my compassion for my patients, my drive to be the most confident and capable aesthetic provider, and my passion for always learning. Uplifting and helping people feel their best is a very fulfilling driving force that keeps me working hard.
4. How do you develop a plan for each client?
My favorite thing to do when a patient enters the room is hand them the mirror and let them express their issues and goals. By using the mirror, I am able to understand what each patient sees when they look at themselves. My plans with my patients are always made jointly, uniquely, and honestly with the goal to achieve their very best results.
5. What is your best advice for clients?
My best advice for patients is to do their research before choosing a med spa. Look at your injector’s credentials, experience, and before and after photos. Take your time during your initial consultation to ask questions, and make sure you feel 100% comfortable and confident in your provider.
