Dominique Harris & Gabrielle Chevalier

It has been a breath of fresh air to ... watch her authentic passion unfold.”

Dominique Harris, Inspired by Gabrielle Chevalier

What inspires me about Gabrielle Chevalier is her die-hard commitment to neighborhood and community social justice. I met Gabrielle about two years ago at a networking event and have had the pleasure of building an incredible friendship with this dynamic woman. As someone who leads insightful conversations on topics of race and social justice awareness via my social media page, it has been a breath of fresh air to not only converse with Gabrielle, but to also watch her authentic passion unfold.

Gabrielle is currently the vice president of the neighborhood association for the gentrifying Ridgedale/Highland Park area. She works to ensure that native residents are included and made to feel just as welcomed as any new resident, and that their voices are heard and valued. Gabrielle is a social justice socialite of sorts as she is a dynamic connector of people, and many of those people move on to build budding friendships.

In personal conversation as well as within her professional life, Gabrielle deals with heavy but very important topics while tactfully providing a safe space for emotional and social conversations among those she loves. She not only shares, but most importantly, she is an amazing listener, and that is one of the most dynamic qualities that one person can have.
