Meet Our Caregivers – Dr. Alisha Armstrong, DNP, APRN, NP-BC

Premier Medical Aesthetics

Empowering
Patients with
Results-Driven Care

As the owner of Premier Medical Aesthetics, Dr. Alisha Armstrong is able to do what she loves every day. “I enhance natural beauty for men and women,” she says. “Some days I see as many as 30 to 40 patients! My goal is to not only provide results-oriented skincare treatments, but to do so in a welcoming, fun environment.” Dr. Armstrong’s experience in critical care nursing, in addition to the field of aesthetic medicine, has helped pave the way to success in her current career. “I’ve been a nurse practitioner for 11 years and a nurse for 15. Over time, I’ve learned to listen more than I talk. An open dialogue is essential to the patient-provider relationship. I always want to be approachable and honest with every person who is trusting me with their care.”

I owe it to my patients to be at the top of my game."

1. What do you love most about your profession?

I absolutely love handing someone a mirror after treatment and seeing their eyes light up. Some even cry. There is nothing better than helping someone regain confidence.

2. What is your philosophy when it comes to the care for your patients?

I am very conservative with my treatments. I find it is much easier to add than take away, so less is more. The best injectors leave no trace that they were there and make others unsure what, if anything, has been done.

3. What is your best advice for patients?

The world of injectables is poorly regulated. Patients should always do their research and seek a qualified medical professional to perform their injections. They should feel safe asking questions and not feel pressured.

4. What would you consider to be your main strengths?

I never want to stop learning. I take any opportunity I can to become better and more knowledgeable.

5. What influenced you to pursue your career?

I have always been passionate about empowering women. I love all things aesthetics, so it was a natural transition to combine the two.
