The Juvent Micro-Impact Platform: A Breakthrough in Better Health

Learn about the Juvent Micro-Impact Platform, a patented technology that can promote musculoskeletal health and reduce pain.

When Earla Simonson suffered a severe pelvic fracture, she experienced extreme pain and immobility for two long years. Hoping to help their 78-year-old mother, brothers Rush and Peter Simonson borrowed a Juvent Micro-Impact Platform, which she began using daily. After just a mere two weeks of use, Earla was no longer bound to a wheelchair and regained her mobility with a significant reduction in pain. However, when the platform was returned, her pain immediately reappeared.

The brothers quickly located another platform for their mother, and now, at the age of 92, she uses her Juvent Micro-Impact Platform daily to help her live with full mobility. Today, she lives independently, continues to drive, and even flew solo across the country to attend her grandson’s wedding this summer.

After witnessing the technology’s transformative impact firsthand, the brothers purchased the company in 2011. The story that began as a blessing for their family now continues in Ooltewah, where Juvent manufactures the patented Micro-Impact Platforms that support health, mobility, and independence for people everywhere.

What is the Juvent Micro-Impact Platform?

Juvent specializes in clinically validated solutions to benefit musculoskeletal health. The Micro-Impact Platform delivers gentle, precise mechanical stimulation to the body. This non-invasive, vibration-based device simulates high-frequency, low-magnitude impacts that mimic walking 2 to 5 miles a day.

Used worldwide by medical clinics, physical therapists, wellness retreats, and at-home users alike, this compact platform can help people of all ages promote bone health, decrease joint pain, and increase lymphatic drainage. In fact, a clinical trial at St. Jude Children Research Hospital has shown that Juvent’s Micro-Impact Platform may promote bone health in pediatric cancer survivors.

How It Works

Initially created to combat bone loss in astronauts experiencing long-term microgravity in space, this advanced technology has been adapted for everyday use to provide the necessary stimulation for bones and muscles.

“Our bodies are made to move; however, most of us do not get the proper amount of movement on a daily basis,” says Jeff Roth, director of clinical sales. “Juvent offers safe, effortless movement to promote your well-being and a better overall quality of life.”

Users simply step onto the platform like a scale, and the device sends out three quick vibrations to determine the amount of fluid in the body. After setting a customized frequency between 32 and 37 hertz (vibrations per second), it begins delivering the low vibration treatment for a 20-minute session, promoting bone health, circulation, and the body’s natural recovery processes.

Exploring the Benefits

With an evidence-based design, the team at Juvent has translated space research into a device that offers practical, daily health benefits here on Earth.

“Millions and millions of dollars of research and years went into determining how we can deliver a safe, yet effective dose of impact,” adds Rush Simonson, chairman and CEO of Juvent.

This gentle, hands-free therapy requires just 10-20 minutes of use per day and offers the following benefits:

  • Increased bone density and strength, lowering risk of fractures
  • Improved circulation and lymphatic flow
  • Reduced joint discomfort and chronic pain
  • Faster recovery after injury or surgery
  • Enhanced balance, mobility, and overall functional health

In addition to these health benefits, the Micro-Impact Platform is designed with safety in mind. The gentle, low-impact technology is designed to avoid stress on joints, and the platform itself exceeds the safety standards required for vibration therapy, including protocols originally developed for NASA’s astronauts.

Sage Rader is just one of the thousands of users who has found relief from the Micro-Impact Platform. Before discovering Juvent, he was opioid dependent, weighed 320 pounds, and could barely walk, trapped in constant, overwhelming discomfort. The first time he stood on the platform, he says it felt like it was gently shaking loose years of pain and inactivity. Week by week, small improvements built into lasting change until he became pain-free and medication-free. “Hope is found for me in this platform,” explains Rader. “I couldn’t live without my Juvent.”
