With Warmer Weather Upon Us, Here's How to Upgrade Your H20

Every cell, tissue, and organ in our bodies needs water to function well, which makes it important to stay hydrated. Unfortunately, plain water doesn’t exactly awaken the taste buds. Next time you’re tempted to reach for a soda or sweet tea, why not try putting a sassy spin on water to make it more interesting and refreshing? Here are six infused water ideas to wet your whistle.

What You'll Need:

  • Glass Pitcher
  • Cold, Filtered Water
  • Plenty of Ice

Ginger Pear

Five sliced, peeled, ripe pears and 10 thin slices of ginger make this infused water the perfect healthy alternative to ginger ale. Let the flavors marry in the fridge and add plenty of ice.

Pineapple Cherry

Fill a pitcher up with water and add two cups of diced pineapples, a cup of halved, pitted cherries, and some tart apple slices. This water with a tropical twist will have you daydreaming of an island getaway.

Blueberry Orange

Cut an orange into wedges – you can use one traditional orange or two cups of mandarin oranges. Drop in a cup of blueberries, cover with water, and let it chill in the fridge for a few hours.

Mint Watermelon

Slice juicy chunks of watermelon and crush plenty of fresh mint (crushing helps release the flavor). Fill your pitcher with water and let them soak until you’re ready to serve.

Rosemary Grapefruit

Add a sliced grapefruit, peel included, and several sprigs of rosemary to a pitcher of water. Then let it sit in the fridge overnight so the subtle rosemary flavor can really shine!

Strawberry Basil

Get three cups of sliced strawberries, slice half a lemon, and grab a small handful of fresh basil. Then toss it all into an empty pitcher. Pour cold, filtered water over the top and let it infuse for an hour.
