Mayan Kitchen’s Caribbean Salsa Recipe

This salsa can be used to dress Caribbean shrimp tacos, or it can be used as a dip served with banana chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb

    pineapple, diced 

  • 1 lb

    jicama, diced

  • 2 Tbsp

    purple onion, diced

  • 2 Tbsp

    red bell pepper, diced

  • 2 Tbsp

    cilantro, chopped

  • ½ Tbsp

    lime vinaigrette

  • 2 Tbsp

    olive oil

  • cup

    lime juice, freshly squeezed

  • ½ tsp

    cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp

    salt

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and cover for at least 15 minutes to allow flavors to blend. 

  • Once rested, this salsa can be used to dress Caribbean shrimp tacos, or it can be used as a dip served with banana chips.
