How Will Top Doctors Be Elected?
Doctors confidentially nominate their peers. The leading physician research firm – Castle Connolly – who has conducted peer-review physician surveys for over 30 years, will conduct surveys among physicians in our area.
Once nominations are submitted, Castle Connolly’s physician-led team of researchers conduct a rigorous screening process to select top doctors. They evaluate several criteria when selecting top doctors, including professional qualifications, education, hospital and faculty appointments, research leadership, professional reputation, and disciplinary history. They also ask doctors in the survey to consider not only the training and clinical skills of the physicians they nominate, but also interpersonal skills such as listening and communicating effectively, demonstrating empathy, and instilling trust and confidence. Following Castle Connolly’s review, a local board of advisors will vet the nominees to ensure they meet the criteria outlined by Castle Connolly.
How Will Top Doctors Be Showcased?
Top Doctors will be shown in the second annual HealthScope® Magazine Top Doctors publishing July 2026. Additionally, Top Doctors will be showcased on HealthScope® magazine’s website as well as shown on Castle Connolly’s nationally recognized website.
Print ads, radio ads, social ads, and newsletters will be implemented to direct women and men 25+ to the list of Top Doctors on HealthScope® magazine’s website.
Top Doctor logos and emblems will be provided for each top doctor to use with their advertising, website, and all forms of marketing materials.

What Physicians Will Be Included?
All licensed Medical Doctors (MD), Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), and Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in the Chattanooga, Cleveland, and North Georgia markets are eligible and encouraged to submit nominations. Nominations will open January 12 and remain open through February 22. Once nominations have been made and reviewed by Castle Connolly, a local board of respected advisors will vet the nominations to ensure that the very best doctors are recognized.
Does Advertising Affect Who Is Included On the List?
Absolutely not. Whether or not a physician advertises with HealthScope® magazine has no influence on their being included in this issue.
