Kid-Friendly Carrot Smoothie Recipe

Smoothies are an easy solution for adding more protein and fresh (or frozen) fruits and veggies to your diet, plus, they’re an especially great way to cool off in the summer!

To make sure your smoothie is as healthy as possible, include a balance of fat, fiber, protein, and greens. You’ll also want to avoid too much added sugar from things like honey or maple syrup, flavored yogurts, fruit juice, and some nondairy milks. Here, two locals offer their takes on this nutritious and delicious treat.

“This smoothie is a win for lots of reasons – we love that it’s so nutritious and that our daughter always gets excited about it. She can enjoy it without help, and it’s thick enough to not be too messy. Plus the adults in the house love it too! We prep this almost every week! Apple cider vinegar is great for gut health and to help keep freshness.”
