HS: Do you have a favorite outdoor area in Chattanooga to run, walk, swim, or enjoy the scenery?

JH:We love to ride bikes down the Riverwalk or take our mountain bikes to Enterprise South. The view down the Riverwalk never gets old, and it’s perfect for the whole family.

HS: What kinds of nutrient-packed dishes do you love to make at home?

JH: I make a faux-pasta dish with spaghetti squash, spinach, chicken sausage, and goat cheese. It’s super easy, quick, and healthy!

HS: If you had to give one piece of fitness advice, what would it be?

JH: Routine is key for me, and I’m sure it is for most people. Make a plan and follow through! Dedication is so important. People must remember that nothing happens overnight, so give it time and stick with it!

HS: What are some of your favorite ways to take time for yourself?

JH: Definitely being active daily, eating healthy, and getting plenty of sleep are all crucial for me. I am an early to bed, early to rise kind of person. I like to get up early before everyone else and drink my coffee, sit quietly, and read emails before the busy day starts.

HS: What’s your favorite way to stay fit?

JH:I have a home gym that I use every day where I usually do weight training and mix in a little cardio. I also like to do a Pure Barre class a day or two a week if I can fit it into our schedules, and occasionally a yoga class as well.
