Look Great Post-Workout

How to Look Great After a Workout

Going from the gym to the office and need to look good for your next presentation? Here’s tips for how to go from workout mode to professional with just a few steps!

Be strategic with your hair.

When you have somewhere to go after your workout, the last thing you want is wet, sweaty stands. A ponytail will do, but to keep hair extra pulled back, try a loose braid twisted into a bun. It’s a style chic enough to take you into your next obligation, or it’ll leave you with loose waves and texture if you decide to take it down. Spritz on dry shampoo for a finishing touch.

Think waterproof.

To keep from reapplying makeup after working out, apply waterproof products beforehand. Waterproof mascara is a given, but did you know you can find waterproof versions of all your makeup staples? From water-resistant blush, to lip stain, to eyeliner, there’s hardly a product on the shelves that doesn’t come in a waterproof version. Or, if you can’t divert from your favorite regular products, try Makeup For Ever Aqua Seal – just mix a few drops with your favorite makeup and poof: it’ll turn waterproof.

Mist your face.

Not only will a light face mist cool your skin and reduce redness, but it will also work to set your makeup. You can buy water-based face mists at a beauty supply store, or you can make your own mist at home. A simple water mist will work wonders, or you can make your own with water and essential oil drops or aloe vera. See our DIY mix below!

Bring shower wipes.

If your workout goes a little over and you have to skip a shower, be sure you have the next best thing in your gym bag. Shower wipes come in a multitude of types, require no rinsing, and will leave you smelling and feeling fresh.

Last, but not least – stay hydrated.

After a sweat session, you’ll need to replenish electrolytes to re-energize your skin. Whether you opt for classic ice water or the ever-popular coconut water, sip plenty so that your skin retains a healthy, soft glow.
